Premier League football and elite sports will be allowed to continue in England after tougher coronavirus restrictions were placed in England.
The Prime Minister addressed the nation on Monday evening to unveil tougher a brutal new lockdown in the country in a desperate bid to keep the mutant virus from spreading out of control.

But professional sport is exempt from the new stringent measures, which is also the same case in Scotland.
The latest actions, which is expected to last until at least the middle of February, were prompted after the UK recorded more than 50,000 new confirmed COVID cases for the seventh day in a row.
As of Monday morning there were 26,626 COVID-19 patients in hospital in England, with NHS hospitals reaching crisis point.
