Il Corriere dello Sport and La Gazzetta dello Sport hit out at Cagliari-Milan referee Rosario Abisso as the Sardinians should have been awarded a penalty kick against the Rossoneri.
Milan broke the deadlock after seven minutes in the first half for a Charalampos Lykogiannis foul on Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Abisso’s decision to award Milan a spot-kick was correct, but Italian papers point out the match official should have done the same after 83 minutes when Brahim Diaz pushed Riccardo Sottil inside Milan’s box.
La Gazzetta dello Sport also writes a yellow card shown to Alessio Romagnoli after 39 minutes was a controversial decision, as the Milan captain’s foul was not as harsh and the Italian was one yellow card away from suspension, which means he will miss the upcoming Serie A match against Atalanta.
Alexis Saelemaekers was given two yellow cards and, therefore, was sent off after 74 minutes. Italian papers write it was a correct call.

Gazzetta dello Sport 5.5
Corriere dello Sport 4.5
