Phil Foden scored his first two goals for England as Gareth Southgate’s side claimed a comfortable win against Iceland in the Nations League.
Declan Rice opened the scoring in the first half at Wembley, glancing in a header from Foden’s free-kick.
Mason Mount then stabbed in to make it 2-0 before Birkir Saevarsson was sent off for Iceland.
Foden then hit a late double, firing into the bottom corner before hitting a superb strike from distance.
There was nothing riding on this game with England’s 2-0 defeat by Belgium on Sunday ending Southgate’s side’s hopes of reaching the Nations League finals.
But this was an impressive performance by England’s young players as they rounded off their campaign with a win.
More to follow.
