Det Insp Chris Barry from the Counties Manukau CIB confirmed over the afternoon, police have located and taken three people into custody.
“Shortly after 3pm Police became aware of a vehicle that had stopped on Hillsborough Road, near the Hillsborough Road off-ramp.
“The vehicle was the same vehicle believed to have been involved in an incident where a person was injured at a Flat Bush property about 1pm today.”
Barry said two of the car’s occupants were located nearby and were arrested and taken into custody. A third person was also found a short time later and was also taken into custody.
“A firearm and ammunition was also located near the vehicle. The three men are assisting police with our enquiries into the Flat Bush incident.”
Charges are yet to be laid, but police said they cannot be ruled out.
A scene examination at the Flat Bush address is continuing.
