KUALA LUMPUR: A company manager found the skeletal remains of a person at an empty plot of land along Jalan Kerayong here, says Brickfields OCPD Asst Comm Anuar Omar.
He said they received a report about the man’s discovery at around 1.42pm on Saturday (Feb 20).
“The 28-year-old man was at the scene at around 12.30pm when he saw the remains in the bushes.
We have yet to confirm the identity of the body as it was in a state of decomposition and the skull was found about three feet away from the body,” he said in a statement on Sunday (Feb 21).
ACP Anuar added that the victim was wearing a red “Sevent Saints” shirt.
“Further checks revealed the area did not have any CCTVs and that there was no security guard on duty there. Forensic unit personnel, K-9 unit and Kuala Lumpur Hospital pathology personnel were then called to the scene to investigate further,” he said.
ACP Anuar said that the case has been classified as a sudden death and urged anyone with any missing relatives to come forward and help with the investigation.
